Terminal One

A friend suggested that I not post such long entries. So from here on’ Ill try to hold to that, but it also means more numerous posts. Anyway, here goes:

We inhabit a beautiful world, with beautiful people, rich and varied cultures. It’s unnerving to hear someone who does not have a desire to see and experience these things. One only needs to go as far as Terminal One at JFK airport.  People from everywhere, going everywhere. You immediately are thrown out of your comfort zone. Your intuition and faculty for perception instantly heightens, and there is no one to rely on but yourself and perhaps your travel companions. Life is good.

“I see skies of blue, and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, dark sacred night
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces, of people going by
I see friends shaking hands, sayin’, “How do you do?”
They’re really sayin’, “I love you”

What a Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong
