So we’ll raise this cup to our lips and drink it all in…

The beautiful thing about this world is the fact that there are amazing people everywhere. A great fear that some people have of traveling or relocating is they think the unique things they have found in their present cocoon will not be found in another unknown place. But the world is flush with people who are intelligent, witty, loving, humble, giving, kind, funny, intuitive, trusting, wishful, loyal, altruistic, etc. No one place has a monopoly on any of those virtues and traits.

No matter where you are in the world, your soul will be nourished if you allow it to be. Perhaps deeper, fuller and richer than the situation you are currently holding on to and clutching so dear.

I have met amazing people in this country. But for whatever reason, some of them must leave and continue on their own personal journeys. I am thankful for the opportunity I have been given to share time with them and experience what they bring to the world. It’s terribly sad to see them leave, but I am a better person for knowing them.

Cheers, dear friends.

-The Farewell XXVIII by Khalil Gibran

Fare you well…

This day has ended.

Farewell to you and the youth I have spent with you.

It was but yesterday we met in a dream.

You have sung to me in my aloneness, and I of your longings have built a tower in the sky.

But now our sleep has fled and our dream is over, and it is no longer dawn.

The noontide is upon us and our half waking has turned to fuller day, and we must part.

If in the twilight of memory we should meet once more, we shall speak again together and you shall sing to me a deeper song.

And if our hands should meet in another dream, we shall build another tower in the sky.

Holla atcha boy!
